Microsoft has TradeMarked Kumo

Few weeks back I wrote about a possibility that Microsoft may re-brand their live search as Kumo.com.

At that time, all the speculation was based on the fact that they have acquired the domain – Kumo.com. However now it just got more interesting, as LiveSide is reporting that Microsoft has even trademarked the name Kumo.

In Kumo’s trademark filing Microsoft says that the name Kumo could be used for various purposes, including “computer search engine software,” “advertising services including dissemination of advertising for others via the Internet,” and “computer services, including search engine services.”
