Picasa Web Album - Email Upload
Posted by Saad as Google
If you love Picasa for managing and storing photos online, you must be thrilled to hear that now there is a very easy way to upload photos to Picasa Web Albums (if you don’t want to install Picasa). Simply send your photos by email to a secret address that will be only known to you.
Firstly you will need to go to the Settings page of your Picasa account and check the option - “Allow me to upload photos by email.” This option will provide you a secret email address where you can send your photos. The email address has the following format: username.secretkey@picasaweb.com, where secretkey needs to be defined in the settings page.
By default, Picasa Web will uploads your photos to the built-in Drop Box albums, but it’s always a good idea to choose your destination album by entering the name of an existing album in the subject of your email.
A word of caution:
Never share your secret email address with other people (especially to the general public), If you do they will get complete access to your account and upload anything they want!
Picasa currently allows you to attach up to 20MB of photos in JPG, GIF and PNG formats, which is a pretty reasonable size limitation. This new option will certainly become popular to the mobile users who wants to store and share photos on the go.
