Google has just released their new holiday logo at their homepage – google.com. Even though its just 4 days before Christmas, the logo doesn’t quite look like a Christmas logo to me. If you click on the logo it will take you to the Google doodle page where Google usually writes what the logo is all about. However this time they have put three question mark (???) there.

Check out some of the previous Google Holiday Logos.

Update: Looks like Google is actually trying to tell a story with their logos. Here is the new logo:

Update #2: Tamar Weinberg @ SERoundtable pointed out that those two logos are basically for “Chanukah” also known as the Festival of Lights (An eight-day Jewish holiday Festival).

Sorry for being so clueless earlier!

This confused me too. I think he is building some elaborate Christmas decoration.

Yeh, Google is really PC. They try not to alienate anyone.

  4. Google always try to introduce some thing new. This is part of that custom.

  5. I really wonder what google is upto. I mean why are they setting up such weird logos which don’t even make any sense. Or do they?

This is just a slight build up to be a puzzle and then a big let down. The artist is only a cartoonist and there is no real solution to the beginning pics.

  9. Hope they will put up something more holiday like this year
